In this practice, we will establish communication between the PC and the PLC, in order to later create, modify, and download a program to the PLC or in some situations vice versa, download from the PLC to the PC.
The first step once CX-Programmer is opened will be to create a new project, assigning it a name and specifying the model and type of CPU.

Once specified, we will configure the Network that we will use to establish communication; by default, we will use the values assigned by the program.

At this point, we will assume several cases; we have created our project and we will perform the transfer to load the program, but we can also have the situation where we will load the configuration of a PLC to our PC. For this reason, the next step will be to go to the tab PLC -> Work Online.

A pop-up window will inform us to establish the connection with the PLC and through the configured network, we confirm if we want to proceed.

In the next image, we can observe that an attempt is being made to establish the connection between both devices; if there is any error, an error window will appear; if not, and the configuration is correct, we will proceed to the next image.

In this case, the connection has been successfully established, and we can see that we are Online and in Run Mode; when connected, a series of options will be enabled that will be used to perform the transfer.

We go to the PLC tab and within it to Transfer -> here we will select the option that interests us, either to transfer to the PLC or to transfer from the PLC to the PC.

We also have the option to make an automatic Online connection, where the program will scan the network at different speeds and configurations; the following video shows an example.
