FSGateway Configuration
In this practice, we will see how to configure the Intouch FSGateway, which replaces its predecessor OPCLink. Intouch has a number of DAServers and IOServer to communicate with different PLCs. When a DAServer is installed, it will be registered in the System Management Console (SMC); in this example, we already have the FSGateway installed.
1.- We run SMC and navigate to DAServer->Default Group -> Local ->ArchestrA.FSGateway.1 -> Right-click and add a new OPC Object.

2.- We specify a Name and configure the OPC Server we will use; in this example, I will use RSLinx to take advantage of the configuration made in the practice of RSLinx OPC Server Configuration and the practice of RSLogix Emulate 5000 to later work with both in Intouch. If our OPC is on the same machine, we will leave Localhost by default; otherwise, we will indicate the name of the PC. Warning: If it is on another machine, DCOM must be configured beforehand or some Tunneling software must be in place; otherwise, we will not be able to access it.

3.- The next step is to add an OPC Group Object; the name given previously concatenated with the name we specify now will be the reference to access the FSGateway Server.

4.- In the next image, you can see how in the configuration of a new Access Name in Intouch we refer to the name we specified.

5.- We click on the Browse OPC button and navigate to the items of interest, select them, and by clicking on the green + icon at the top right, we add the items; we click Ok to finish.

6.- Once we have selected all the items, they are reflected in the Device Items tab; the next step I will take is to leave only the name in the Name column for greater clarity when configuring the items within Intouch.

7.- Finally, we activate the Server, and with this, we have completed the configuration of the FSGateway.
